Dot NET Domains
When the Dot NET generic domain name extension was initially introduced in 1985, together with the first domain name extensions on the World Wide Web, it was meant to be used by Internet Service Providers or infrastructure entities. Because there were no specific prerequisites about the usage of the top-level domain, though, dot NET domains were purchased and used for different purposes and by a large number of people. This extension represents a perfect alternative to dot COM, particularly if the necessary domain with the latter extension is not available for registration.
Ordering a .NET domain with our firm is simple and takes just a couple of minutes, given the fact that we are partners with an ICANN-approved registrar firm. You can grab such a domain for an interval between one and ten years, or, if you already own a domain, you can move it over to our firm and we will renew it once the transfer process is finished. Transfers are available for all domain names, which are at least sixty days old, given that they are unlocked and that you have acquired an EPP transfer authorization key – security measures established by the Registry organization to prevent unauthorized transfers. You can easily alter the WHOIS contact info of the domain through your Control Panel interface, or, if you wouldn't like this info to be visible at all, you can get a Whois Privacy Protection service, so no one will be able to check your true contact information.
The dot NET TLD supports internationalized names, so you can decide whether you want to focus on a specific country or zone using a domain name in the local language, or the global web community – using a generic English name.
