Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Launched in 2001, the Dot NAME universal top-level domain extension is the single TLD intended for personal websites only. These domain names can be personal or fictional names, aliases and/or other labels people are known by. Initially, only third-level registrations were possible, so if you desired to book john.doe.name, you had to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already grabbed 3rd-level domains remained active.

Through our firm, you can get your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will have the opportunity to update the WHOIS contact info, to park your domain, to create Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an existing domain to our firm if you take its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar and we will renew it as soon as the transfer has been finished. There are no particular stipulations on who can purchase a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the concept behind its creation alive, the Registry organization may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration may be challenged.
